Chase Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) serves consumers and small businesses with a broad range of financial services, including personal banking, small business banking and lending, mortgages, credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice. Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Types of risk that occur in consumer businesses include fraud, reputation, operational, credit, market and regulatory, among others.

The successful applicant will participate in a wide variety of activities for risk including:

  • Collecting and organizing information from subject matter experts.

  • Understanding and communicating business requirements and functional/technical requirements.

  • Participating with IT and business teams to develop and validate functional designs and use cases for Risk projects.

  • Communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and business concepts to technical stakeholders.

  • Understanding of risk controls and compliance to departmental and companywide standards.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals.


In addition the successful applicant will:

  • Proactively establish and build relationships with business and IT areas

  • Take personal ownership for achieving outstanding results and exercising strong leadership skills

  • B.S. or higher degree in quantitative/technical field (e.g. Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Operations Research, etc.)

  • 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following: Risk, Credit cards, business analysis, data modeling, data warehousing, data management

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; includes the ability to communicate clearly and confidently, to different audiences simultaneously, such as business, technical, operations, senior management, etc.

  • Able to interact effectively with many different types of people, teams, and disciplines

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills

  • Self-motivated, creative and innovative, able to think outside the box

  • Work independently with little supervision, but function as part of extended teams

  • Technical Skills:

    • MS Office proficient (required)
    • SQL proficient (required)
    • Experience with Oracle and Teradata preferred

    • Experience maintaining SharePoint sites
    • Other programming experience is a plus
