CCB Risk

Chase Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) serves consumers and small businesses with a broad range of financial services, including personal banking, small business banking and lending, mortgages, credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice. Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Types of risk that occur in consumer businesses include fraud, reputation, operational, credit, market and regulatory, among others




CCB Risk organization is investing in innovative ways to manage and support the business of risk across the Consumer and Community Bank and is seeking an experienced product/program executive to lead the model risk implementation team. 

 

Reporting into Head of Risk Business Architecture in Consumer and Community Banking Risk Data, Analytics and Technology Strategy Organization, the Model Risk Implementation Executive is responsible for ensuring Consumer and Community Banking Risk Models are implemented, supported and monitored.  The candidate must be able to effectively influence, partner and communicate with key stakeholders, across functional areas including Technology, Modeling and Risk Strategy organizations. The ideal candidate will have senior level experience across product/program management, modeling and analytics, data management or predictive decision science capability.

 
Position responsibilities include:
  • End-to-End Agile Solution Delivery
    • Execute Program Management as Head of Model Risk Architecture Business Operate Team
    • Ensure Production model delivery is efficiently delivered in accordance with Operating Framework model.
    • Develop and manage governance to appropriately track key deliverable milestones, decision making and elevate risks to the appropriate parties for resolution.
    • Serve as single point of contact across CCB Risk Modeling and Strategy community for issue identification and escalation for production model implementation
    • Drive target state solutions for integrated model implementation, data validation framework, and related reporting and analytics.
  • Product Strategy and Investment Agenda
    • Responsible for developing a unified product strategy, including understanding future opportunities and external landscape
    • Ensure roadmap is communicated and delivered to meet stakeholder needs.
    • Partner with the Risk Architecture colleagues and Risk Technology to ensure a cohesive product and target state production platform strategy is delivered across the entire CCB Risk Model portfolio. 
    • Partner closely with other functional team leaders to ensure a consistent approach to product management discipline is maintained.
  • Data Validation Framework, Reporting and Analytics
    • Establish analytics to manage performance, drive insights, and flag issues
    • Establish data validation framework for production model execution audit and controls
  • Operational Excellence
    • Own and drive the product investment roadmap
    • Articulate and enhance the end to end Program Operating Framework
    • Ensure consistency in governance and delivery across a variety of programs deployments for a standardized controlled process.
    • Create visibility across product, processes, and capabilities

Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Understand and assess the quality of current end-to-end processes, key performance indicators, and reporting across production model delivery for gaps and opportunities.
Establish and manage roadmap program office to oversee, monitor, and manage stakeholders for agreed change management to funded annual labor and investment roadmap.


  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Business Management or comparable field of study
  • 10+ years of business/technology architecture, product management or relevant experience as well as record of individual technical achievement
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with multiple cross-functional team responsibility.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships and influence all levels across an organization while leading a group of dedicated staff.
  • Ability to navigate and thrive in a faced-paced environment across multiple concurrent and dependent delivery dates.
  • Demonstrated communication and influencing skills to work cross-organizationally to motivate others and drive results or required changes.
  • Strong project management skills to meet tight deadlines and ability to solve difficult situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills are critical since this job primarily entails communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Quantitative analysis with experience in modeling, strategy or financial calculations to interpret and solution detailed model data, validation and reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to author or interpret big data and traditional model programming language including Python, Scala, SAS, and SQL.
  • Experience in model building, model performance testing, data management and strategy analysis preferred but not required.
  • Technical expertise in big data landscape (Hadoop, Cloud), data management tools, and reporting visualization solutions preferred but not required.
