CCB Risk

Chase Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) serves consumers and small businesses with a broad range of financial services, including personal banking, small business banking and lending, mortgages, credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice. Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Types of risk that occur in consumer businesses include fraud, reputation, operational, credit, market and regulatory, among others 

Branches continue to play a critical role in how Chase builds relationships with its customers. They are the place where clients make personal connections with Chase and learn how to grow their wealth, as well as carry out their daily banking needs. Branches are on a transformational journey – one where the wall between in-person interaction and digital services are fading. Consumer Banking Risk Management has an exciting opportunity to support our Consumer Bank Branches on their transformational journey, while protecting our customers and the firm from risk and enabling our bankers to deliver exemplary service. The Vice President, Branch Oversight Risk Manager responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with peers to define a branch oversight framework that is in compliance with established LOB oversight framework best practices
  • Execute the framework as defined
  • Assess the inherent risk in branch innovation initiatives and ensure that appropriate controls are built into the function to manage fraud and other operational risk
  • Assess risk in a methodical and disciplined manner. Support positions with solid reasoning.
  • Stays customer obsessed while balancing risk and operational cost
  • Strong engagement with team members across risk, operations, technology and all levels of management to build strong, collaborative, and productive relationships
  • Must be able to effectively communicate identified trends through presentations to all levels of management
  • Research and track loss events
  • Reviewing operational policy and procedures and ensure alignment with Risk Standards as needed
  • Define, develop, monitor key metrics to identify exposure trends
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional partners to understand and address key business challenges
  • Other duties as assigned

  • 5-7 years related business experience, including experience in Risk Management, Compliance, Risk & Control, Audit, Consumer Banking
  • Prior experience working in a Branch and/or experience with current branch service platforms or ATMs highly desired
  • Prior experience with operational quality management, quality assurance or process engineering
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Candidate must be able to execute against multiple deliverables with minimal guidance      
  • Ability to tell a compelling, data driven story to executive management with strong visualization skills
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a large corporate environment, demonstrating a history of being effectively influence in a complex, matrixed organization
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment, and react to changes efficiently
