Chase Consumer & Community Banking offers services to consumers and businesses through bank branches, ATMs, digital and telephone banking. CCB is organized into Consumer & Business Banking, Home Lending and Card, Merchant Services & Auto. Consumer & Business Banking offers deposit and investment products and services to consumers, and lending, deposit, and cash management and payment solutions to small businesses. Home Lending includes mortgage origination and servicing activities, as well as portfolios consisting of residential mortgages and home equity loans. Card, Merchant Services & Auto issues credit cards to consumers and small businesses, offers payment processing services to merchants, and originates and services auto loans and leases.

 

Consumer & Community Banking Finance is committed to supporting and enabling the strategic and financial objectives of the business, while ensuring a sound control environment. The teams also provide CFO, P&A and Business Management services to their respective function heads and organizations.

 

Control Management (CM) maintains a strong and consistent control environment across the firm. With Control Managers appointed for each Line of Business, Function and Region, there is a comprehensive coverage and joint accountability model with the business executive that promotes early operational risk identification and assessment, effective design and evaluation of controls and sustainable solutions to mitigate operational risk.

Control Management focuses on four areas: 


1) Control design and expertise
2) Risks and controls identification and assessment/ CORE  
3) Control breaks and resolution

4) Control governance & reporting


Role Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership support for CCB Finance Planning and Analysis (P&A) team including the end-to-end execution of the Risk & Control Self-Assessment processes and the implementation of the new CORE framework. Highlight control breaks and related remediation in order to reduce financial loss, regulatory exposure, and reputational risk

  • Create a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols

  • Review and analyze program related data (e.g., KRI/KPI) to support business-related programs and strategies

  • Engage with control colleagues across the firm, business, operations management, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators and technology control functions

  • Support the broader CCB Finance Control agenda for the P&A team on control related programs such as Dashboard control framework, Access (including RBAC), Record Retention, Model/User Tool support & governance, business resiliency, monthly control reporting, Issue management & Triage and CORE/RCSA development & support. 

 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

  • 5+ years of financial service experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance preferred

  • Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to design, create and evaluate a function or LOB in conjunction with business partners

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
