The goal of the Commercial Banking Client On-boarding (CBCO) Documentation Management Team is to ensure a best in class seamless experience with our clients when legal documentation is required as part of the on-boarding process.  The team is responsible for end-to-end documentation management in support of products and accounts, billing, supporting/educating business partners and working closely with Legal/Compliance/Risk to meet all regulatory requirements in a controlled environment. 

The CBCO is seeking a CB Documentation Manager who will oversee the CB Documentation team. This includes management oversight of a team consisting of Managers, Documentation and Account Specialists, Documentation Specialists, and Documentation and Billing Analysts located in the U.S. and India.

  • Provide structure and oversight to team

  • Works in leadership capacity with service, sales and legal business partners to develop optimal processes in all aspects of the business that impact client contracts

  • Communicates and leverages business knowledge and technical expertise to resolve high level conflicts by making decisions, or negotiating with affected senior management

  • Partners and Influences shared purposes through trust and teamwork across businesses and functions

  • Identifies and hires talent and manages performance through disciplined and integrated performance management and compensation processes

  • Demonstrate values by promoting an inclusive work environment

  • Drives a robust Risk/Control environment and demonstrate expected Risk/Control Behaviours through identification, escalation and remediation

  • Creates and drives strategic enhancements focused on improving the client onboarding experience, while improving the team’s efficiency. 


Final job grade and officer title will be determined at time of offer and may differ from this role.                


Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of management experience; exceptional leadership qualities
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with the ability to manage conflict and mobilize internal resources

  • Experience in risk awareness and skills to develop and ensure quality program set ups

  • High level risk awareness
  • Judgment and reasoning skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills (written/verbal) and negotiating skills

  • Proven change management experience
  • BA/BS degree
  • Ability to provide quantifiable management reporting
  • Excellent at developing and maintaining good working relationships with internal partners

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience or knowledge of legal documentation and complex account products, entity organizational documents, tax documentation and other documentation types

  • Paralegal or Juris Doctor Certificate
  • Experience in financial services, if possible Corporate/Commercial Banking

  • Knowledge of the Risk and Control Self Assessment framework and testing
