The Business Analyst will utilize a relational database and automated tool to design, develop and implement direct mail and email campaigns to more effectively market to Brand and Partner prospect universes through the application of database marketing principles and practices.  This position will require managing relations at all levels within the Bank; working with Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Credit Policy and Print Production Management.

 

Responsibilities will also include project management, vendor management, issue resolution and process improvement

 

  •  Work with external database marketing and information technology providers to improve the utilization of prospect data assets.  
  • Understand business requirements and implement technical solutions using GUI/automated tool to generate campaign solicitation files. 
  • Coordinate requirements with Business strategy owners and fulfillment of data files for marketing campaigns.
  • Initiate, develop and implement ways to reduce costs, improve quality and reduce cycle time.
  • Assess internal and external data sources to improve targeting and segmentation capabilities. 
  • Determine and implement optimal campaign processing strategies for specific credit card programs. 
  • Consult and assist Credit Policy in the maintenance and utilization of the Pre-Approved data assets.
  • Responsible for the overall quality of various programs by diligently utilizing existing and developing new audit materials.
  • Conduct and validate on all data exclusions, selection criteria and record counts on output files.
  • Interface with Marketing Services group to insure the timeliness and quality of the marketing data.
  • Proactively manage cross team activities, making actionable recommendations to improve   
    marketing production, and work with internal and external clients to maintain delivery schedule.
  • Resolve issues/process defects and seek clarification from internal/external clients.
  • Assess work complexity and communicate project timeline to stakeholders.
  • Generate new ideas for process improvements and new segmentation strategies
  • Review and write functional enhancement to the automated tool to improve campaign execution automation
  • Perform UAT on functional enhancement for the Campaign Spec Tool

 

 

Requirements: 

  • Candidate must have the ability to work with multiple stakeholders across the business to manage and implement end-to-end campaign list execution activities
  • Build list technical requirements based on marketing strategic directions on product, positioning, pricing, and placement
  • Liaison between the lines of business and the development teams.
  • Candidate would be required to analyze business requirements to understand the business needs and determine how their applications can best functionally fulfill those needs
  • Proficient in knowledge of business applications and word processing and flow charting tools
  • Identify opportunities to improve process, develop efficiencies and ensure regulatory compliance

  • College Degree Preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Has the ability to mentor people and transfer knowledge
  • Excellent project management capabilities
  • Experience either working for or with third party vendors and development teams
  • Ability to succeed in a fast paced, fluid environment with tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to lead and function effectively in a matrix organization
  • Ability to manage a diverse and dispersed set of stakeholders
  • Results-oriented with strong attention to detail
  • Background/experience in campaign and list management preferred
  • GUI tool exposure/experience
  • 3+ years; credit card / financial services or database/direct marketing experience preferred
  • Computer literacy / proficiency Microsoft Office suite, familiarity with SQL / Oracle/Other Reporting tools
