The Sr. Associate – Ink Portfolio Analytics role will leverage marketing analytics to drive innovation and transformation within the Ink small business portfolio. 

 

The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious and have strong marketing and analytical skills.  The individual in this role must be able to develop insights that enable decision making in devising innovative marketing strategies to deepen customer engagement.


 

Key responsibilities will include designing a framework for and creation of quarterly reporting across EMOB and MOB4+ customers, with an emphasis on providing insights on the current state of the portfolio and the impact of marketing across core areas of focus:  employee cards, recurring bill pay, loyalty/retention, spend behaviors (including PCLI) and digital engagement.


 

In this position, the individual will be responsible for targeting attributes including the creation of new attributes to allow for the delivery of highly relevant, personalized marketing.


 

This role must work effectively and in tight collaboration across the Ink team, Chase for Business counterparts, Ultimate Rewards, Analytics, Risk, Customer Marketing Group and Marketing Services. The ideal candidate will be a high energy self-starter, effective communicator, and have a passion for data.


 
Responsibilities: 


  • Develop existing customer segmentation strategy leveraging internal and external resources

  • Enhance our targeting strategies across all existing customer marketing initiatives

  • Interrogate external data sources to identify opportunities to improve marketing performance   

  • Identify opportunities to engage existing customers further, with the ultimate objective of increasing spend and spend market share

  • Effectively partner with internal key stakeholders across the organization to drive marketing improvements and deliver business results

  • Optimize the overall digital marketing curriculum to increase engagement

  • The individual in this role will be expected to use data to make connection points, provide marketing recommendations and drive portfolio

  • Bachelor's degree in a business, finance, economics, engineering, or mathematics; MBA preferred

  • 5+ years of related experience within marketing, finance or risk analysis

  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals

  • Experience evaluating complex business problems, data analysis and devising recommendations

  • Strong critical thinker with exceptional problem solving abilities

  • Experience in small business marketing and analytics strongly preferred

  • Proven ability to identify customer/business insights and influence the development of innovative marketing strategies that drive customer engagement

  • Proficiency writing data analysis languages, such as SAS and/or SQL, working knowledge of database environments to perform data analysis in ICDW and MAP

  • Skilled knowledge of Tableau, Click Fox and marketing campaign reporting, with willingness to learn new data summarization tools

  • Understanding of the key drivers within credit card P&L is preferred

  • High energy team player who thrives in a dynamic and matrixed environment

  • Results oriented self-starter effective at prioritizing and managing multiple initiatives concurrently

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
