This role will  Independently focus on evaluating and performing an end-to-end oversight and management support of the business’ risk and control environment. The role will assist to ensure that material business risks are identified and mitigating controls are properly designed and operating effectively, which is essential to Consumer & Community Banking’s risk mitigation efforts. Collaborates with business partners, including Control Team, Compliance, Risk Management, Legal, and Audit, to decrease Payment Operations exposure to financial loss, compliance issues, and/or reputational risk. Partners with business managers and IT partners on performing business owned application reviews associated with the Information Owner program.




  • Support a sustainable end-to-end control environment that identifies, escalates, addresses, and mitigates issues in a timely manner.
  • Identify issues and control improvements for remediation, and manage action plans end-to-end to address and resolve control deficiencies.
  • Create and maintain collaborative relationships with control partners, business partners and support partners.
  • Monitors and tests controls for each business unit and maintains documentation in accordance with JPMC self-assessment protocol. Ensure all deadlines/target dates/deliverables associated with required risk activities are completed on schedule with high quality. Establish checkpoints or communications with areas that are responsible for items.
  • Partner with Control Operations team to ensure common goals are established and regular touch points are in place to measure progress.
  • Proactively manage changes in the business units to ensure control activities are updated and address any changes to the risk environment.
  • Coordinate with IT risk partners to ensure strong end-to-end assessment of both operational and technology risk and controls.
  • Informed on regulatory and compliance topics and communicate with the respective team.
  • Knowledge of critical business processes demonstrated through advanced critical thinking.
  • Assist business units with key metric development related to the Commitment Flow Down (CFD) and key risk indicators; including establishing baseline & tracking metrics.
  • Compile and facilitate monthly business review.
  • Engage with metric owners from each business unit to identify key cause behind data trends/irregularities.
  • Participate in high level business initiatives and assist with all levels of metric reporting.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills that allow individual to effectively interact with all levels of management.
  • Requires Intermediate to Advanced Excel, Access and SharePoint skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, listening and influencing skills.
  • Self-starter; demonstrated ability to complete assigned tasks independently with minimum supervisor and use independent judgment in decision-making.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to build and foster relationships with internal partners and team members at multiple levels.
  • Outstanding organizational and business skills and the ability to deal successfully with complex issues and multiple projects.
