Job Description Summary
This position is both technical and analytical. The person in this role will conduct and manage data through various students systems (SLATE, Powerfaids, Workday etc) for both Undergraduate and Graduate students. They will be responsible for managing the financial aid analytics as well as testing the data management configuration for the financial aid data lake. This person should have some knowledge of financial aid analytics and/or enrollment analytics. On top of the technical aspect this person must be fluent in Data Management and understand the flows of data configurations on campus. They will need to understand the financial aid modeling and fields that are essential in financial aid reporting. They will also be responsible for high level analytics and tableau dashboards built to bring out data driven decision based methods. This will primarily be within the financial aid and enrollment recruitment realm but may cross pollinate to student and/or course explorations.

Essential Duties
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data and assist in the interpretation of the data for presentation; complete multivariate statistical analyses of marketing, admission, and financial aid programs; assess and assure data integrity utilizing SPSS, Tableau and Alteryx. Occasionally pulling insights from Academic Insights, Slate, IPEDS, AACSB or NACUBO databases.
  • Support the undergraduate financial aid system Powerfaids to understand the data integrity and knowledge in the Data Lake. Understanding financial aid fields and relationships to compliance reporting and scholarship analysis.
  • Assists the Executive Director and the BI team in the development and coordination of annual planning and evaluation systems that guide the implementation of strategic planning, and monitors institutional effectiveness at the institutional, divisional, and departmental level.
  • Build high level analytics to help the Executives make fast paced decisions based on financial data

Other Duties
  • Participate and support in essential BI functions including surveys, and reporting

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Strong set of broad technical skills such as Data Management, Powerfaids, SLATE, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, SPSS, Tableau, R,SQLand other comparable software used to analyze, organize and present data.
  • Fluent in qualitative and quantitative research methodology.
  • Demonstrated skill in designing and implementing surveys both hard copy and via the web.
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills. Experience with Data Management within a Data Lake.

Work Environment
  • Typical office setting with extensive sitting and computer work
  • Ability to travel to locations across campus for work relevant meetings and events
