An Application Support professional’s dedication to innovation is essential to what keeps our company moving and thriving. Here, you’ll oversee application issues throughout: troubleshooting, maintaining, identifying, escalating and resolving them as needed. You’ll ensure that the production changes your team makes are made keeping best practices, lifecycle methodology and overall risk top of mind. Partnering with Infrastructure Service Support team members, you’ll dig into root cause analysis, production changes, budgetary and staffing issues. You’ll also draw on your experience to manage and mentor people to drive strategic change, both within your team as well as in collaboration with team members across JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s global network of innovators.


Project Details:

  • Support the day-to-day health of Digital applications, including tasks related to identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving application and data issues.
  • Develop deep analytical thinking using root cause analysis, management communication and client relationship management in partnership with Infrastructure Support team members.
  • Collaborate to ensure all production changes are made in accordance with lifecycle methodology and risk guidelines.
  • Manage activities related to maintenance of the application systems that are running the daily operations of the firm.
  • Oversight for the creation and maintenance of application Service Level Agreements, root cause analysis, management communication and client relationship management in partnership with Infrastructure Service Support team members.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Demonstrated Level 2 Production Support experience for multiple applications in a UNIX/.NET environment. Strong experience with troubleshooting Application and System issues.
  • Ability to lead timely issue resolution activities for critical applications in partnership with other technical resolvers from database, web service, network, storage, OS system admin, application developer, and management teams.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Java/J2EE/.NET technologies.
  • Strong technical background – SME in at least two of the technologies: SSIS, .NET, Middleware, Unix, DB2, Splunk, Dynatrace.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Windows Power-Shell, Unix/Linux Shell Scripting, Perl, and Python in terms of managing files/data and permissions and security.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with SSIS, Control-M or similar DAG / Data pipeline orchestration agents.
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven expertise in application development and support environment with more than one technology and multiple design techniques.
  • Advanced knowledge of development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software.
  • Understanding of risk controls and compliance to departmental and company wide standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals.
