Duties:  Handle a wide range of production support issues in progress technology-based Mortgage loan originations system. Responsible for incident management and mitigation, issue analysis, deriving monitoring, alerting solutions, and managing the application and server maintenance activities. Improve data processing for a wide range of system issues pertaining to Mortgage Banking Loan orginations applications. Conduct effective research on issues and provide analysis and concise documentation of the issue including mitigation steps. Effectively convey root cause analysis on issues to software development staff for process and software changes. Monitoring the environment, managing, tracking and resolving incidents, and resolving incidents and escalations. Create and improve system documentation (Run Books, FAQs). Produce Production metrics as well as build and foster relationships across multiple organizations by participating in Disaster recovery events and major event changes. Perform a daily health check of intra-day and overnight system batch process. Provide Production and Non-production environment support for critical applications. Run technical bridges as required and leverage experience and organizational knowledge to reduce Mean Time to Recover (MTTR). Perform RCA's for production incidents and preventing reoccurances. Partner closely with Application development, testing teams, all data consumers and other dependent support teams. Work with change management and release managers on the evaluation of change events. Identify business requirements, write functional requirements, develop detailed technical designs and build unit and system test application code. Effectively use Willy, Splunk and Dynatrace for alerting and monitoring and to mitigate the issues to avoid downtimes. Utilize Progress technology, .NET, Oracle, SQL Server programming and design Oracle, PL/SQL, UNIX shell scripting in both UNIX and windows environments.



Minimum education required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. 

 

Minimum experience required:  5 years of experience in progress-based application support or development, or related experience.

 

Skills required: Must have experience with Progress 4GL technology and open edge tools. Experience with Unix, Linux, and Windows. Experience working in progress databases with SQL, Oracle, and Oracle RDBMS including troubleshooting queries and writing complex queries for ad-hoc reports for status of loans and impacted loan data.  Experience troubleshooting progress databases.  Demonstrated knowledge of performance capacity, performance and troubleshooting reports for progress databases. Experience with Cloud Computing. Experience with monitoring and alerting tools including Wily, Splunk, and Dynatrace. Experience with programming and debugging using Progress 4GL, Java, .Net, and Sharepoint. Experience with database and network administration. Demonstrated knowledge of development practices including build and test system, and test application code. Experience managing production infrastructure events including Resiliency and Product Lifecycle Maintenance (PLM).
