Our Team:
As a Business/Data Analyst, you will be responsible for thinking strategically about data management and solving for root causes rather than patching issues temporarily.  Leaning on your prior data modeling experience, you will work to synthesize disparate data structures into a single, common framework that is easily accessible by our partners around the globe.  You will work towards executing projects and enhancements that align with the business goals for our core Funds Data Management platforms, in particular our Data Warehousing and CRM environments.  You will partner with other business teams within Asset Management - including Technology, Finance Senior Management, Sales, Product Groups, Compliance, and Business Risk Management.  You will also be responsible for core data ownership tasks focused on data quality and the delivery of timely and accurate information.
 
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Projects – Partner with Technology to deliver enhancements to our Data Warehouse/CRM platforms
     
    • Represent business/product knowledge.
    • Provide expertise of application, e.g., understanding of functionality, capabilities and limitations.
    • Perform Business Analysis
    • Develop user requirements.
    • Develop test scripts.
    • Perform UAT.
    • Determine downstream impacts to operational processes.
    • Conduct training. 
  • Platform Support
    • Perform 1st line support for researching data issues in Data Warehouse/CRM.
    • Assign/escalate issues to Technology, Operations, and/or Vendor(s) where appropriate.
    • Manage problem life cycle to completion.
    • Create/review audit reports to ensure data integrity.
    • Manage monthly Audit & Reporting cycle in partnership with technology and finance teams
    • Maintain reference data for warehouse environment.
    • Identify Weaknesses, gaps and opportunities for improvement. 
    • Work with Technology, Operations, and Vendor(s) to ensure data integrity.

 Additional Requirements:
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience as a business/data analyst
  • Demonstrated technical abilities with data analysis software – proficiency with Python/Matlab/BO/Alteryx preferred
  • Experience with relational database design. Experience with Data Modeling and SQL preferred.
  • Prior experience working in Investment Management Business, Mutual Funds, Managed Accounts, and/or Separate Accounts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business, finance, or technology related field
