The AWM Ops Change Mobilization team partners with Operations, Technology and Business leadership to take the best of what we do, within and across LOBs, and drive deliberate cross-pollination across AWM Operations teams, promoting global process consistency and standards.  We focus on evolving the organization’s capabilities to move from lower to higher-value added tasks, and creating agile processes, teams and infrastructure that enable differentiated client experiences and outcomes.  We follow a hypothesis-driven, data-informed approach to identify opportunities and employ co-design principles to create effective, scalable, well controlled solutions. Those solutions seek to differentially equip our people and support their development as Operations professionals of the future. We serve the broader organization and maintain a service-oriented attitude in all that we do.

 
 Current initiatives include:  
  • Service Design – lead co-creation of end-to-end, front-to-back target service experiences, purposefully aligning people, processes and systems to deliver improved employee experience and better client outcomes
  • Business Process & Decision Modeling – capture current and design future state processes and business logic; model capacity and costing; simulate the impact of change; and drive integration into underlying core technology
  • Analytics Transformation – govern and support adoption of Alteryx, Tableau and Qlik in both a COE and federated model; drive value creation through automation of manual data preparation and reporting tasks; lead product development of interactive analytics
  • Intelligent Automation – manage ongoing automation initiatives using Xceptor and Robotics Process Automation; liaise with firm-wide programs and represent AWM Operations in evaluation and implementation of existing and emerging digital tools
  • Common Component Product Ownership – drive product development of core technology components that can be leveraged across AWM; initial components include task management, workflow, content & document management, checklist & evidencing.
 

The Content Management Specialist/Data Analyst will be responsible for defining and maintaining the Taxonomy & Meta Data that will be used by Wealth Management to drive the content capture, storage and search capabilities across Document & Content Management systems.  This individual will work closely with business Subject Matter Experts to understand WM’s business needs and translate into a data model structure that reflects common and exception use cases to support systemic data extraction and integration. This role will also be responsible for developing and establishing repeatable, scalable and flexible processes to enhance Taxonomy & Meta Data definitions to ensure WM Line of Business terms, conditions and concepts are accurately and consistently applied, and remain current over time.

Responsibilities


The candidate will be expected to leverage technology and analytics skills to apply basic to intermediate data analysis practices that benefit Business and Tech strategic initiatives. Among the day-to-day responsibilities, s/he will…

  • Define intermediate to advanced data profiling, metadata documentation, data lineage, and data transformation rules in support of key program deliverables.
  • Lead/assist in creating, implementing and enforcing a taxonomy and meta data inventory that satisfies Wealth Management needs across LOBs/geographies.
  • Meet data management needs of internal and external clients according to established data model standards and best practices, including problem research/resolution and customer education.
  • Performs data impact analyses in partnership with project teams. Supports the building of strategic model solutions including transformation rules and attribute relationships.
  • Participate in defining, loading, and maintaining Taxonomy Content titles, Meta Data and Attributes, including being involved in user acceptance testing and production validation testing of Taxonomy enhancements and cross impacts
  • Identify new opportunities to optimize content delivery; partner with product and tech teams to support content digitization and client self-service.
  • Understand business vision and customer needs and identify solutions to fulfill them through the taxonomy; ensuring taxonomy and meta data attributes are client/user focused
  • Partner with content creators and users across the organization, leveraging existing definitions and best practices, where applicable, including AWM and Firm-wide Chief Data Office teams.
  • Lead the taxonomy governance cross-functional working team, manage the new request queue, and provide oversight for the day-to-day implementation, maintenance, and governance of the taxonomy.
  • Proactively communicate with stakeholders to ensure awareness and promote adoption

Qualifications


Education, Work Experience & Knowledge

  • Minimum:
    • 3-5 years of experience in knowledge management designing and implementing taxonomies/ontologies or related experience preferred.

    • 5-7 years of Project Management experience

    • Thorough knowledge of tools and software to extract and analyze data in the data management function (e.g., moderate knowledge of database software applications, financial modeling tools, and/or data modeling tools).

  • Preferred:
    • Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) or Business preferred.

    • Familiarity with Asset & Wealth Management businesses, systems, tools, processes
