At the end of the day, your work will have tremendous and positive impact, whether it’s in-house, in collaboration with technologists across JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s global technology community or in partnership with some of the most important tech firms in the world.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Fluency in architecture and design across all systems
  • Knowledge in at least one area of technical architecture
  • Strategic thinking and passion for business strategy and business processes
  • Experience in risk and risk control compliance
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
  • Innovative thinking and attitude to challenge status quo
  • Expertise in modernizing software architecture using domain driven design (DDD), Microservice patterns, APIs, events driven and Cloud
  • Create early-phase concept assessments and oversee project estimations that help leaders organize business cases for investment decisions
  • Enthusiasm for solving problems, digging into issues and owning solutions to completion
  • Provide expert knowledge of solution architecture and serve as Subject Matter Expert to Senior Technology managers, Business, Operations and Technology teams
  • Experience in financial/banking/card services domains
  • Design solutions for capabilities like customer self-service, client facing channels, credit card transaction processing, authentication, enrollment, onboarding and B2B interaction models
  • Ability to develop, maintain and improve the technical reference architecture, architecture roadmap and domain definitions for the capability 
  • Experience in and leverage one or more common solution patterns:
    • Cloud (private, public and hybrid cloud platforms)
    • Microservice, digital decoupling and event driven architecture
    • Modern UI, API, Mobile App, Data and Application Development (e.g. Java, Spring, ReactJS, Kafka, Oracle) frameworks/patterns/tools
    • Initial scope, project request evaluations, sizing and feedback
    • Workflow, Rules Engines and Decision systems
    • Service definition and consumption including API, brokers, RESTful APIs
    • Solution Availability, Extensibility, and Resiliency
    • Web responsive design applications
    • Big Data technologies
  • Experience in Java, Spring, Oracle, JMS, ReST, SOAP, Kafka, Spring Boot, Batch, JQuery, React Native, HTML5, HDFS, kubernetes, Docker, DevOps tools
  •  Experience using architecture methodologies, standards and tools (TOGAF, domain driven design, Design thinking, UML, etc.)
  • Experience demonstrating effective communications, including presenting to senior IT and business leaders, architecture peers and technical audiences with the effect of influencing the decision
