In this high visibility role, the Analyst – International Sales Strategy will be responsible for supporting and developing our commercial strategy in the Asia-Pacific region, working closely with revenue management, network planning, marketing, alliances, and other areas of the Sales organization to identify revenue opportunities across our network.

That will require extensive data analysis and coordination with our joint-business partners in the region (JAL and Qantas) – including occasional travel to Los Angeles, Tokyo, and Sydney – to ensure that the key, actionable insights are delivered across different functional groups and carriers in a clear, timely fashion.

This is a high-profile position with regular exposure to leadership within the Commercial organization, suitable for highly-motivated individuals ready to take their career to the next level.

What you'll do
  • ​Lead our business cycle partnering with revenue management, marketing, and field sales to communicate key, actionable insights to our account managers
  • Solve complex commercial challenges in a creative fashion to unlock opportunities across our different channels

  • Lead highly-impactful analyses for our senior management to inform higher-level discussion

  • Develop and foster deep relationships with our partner airlines (JL, QF) to create joint strategies for both our North America and International point of sale

  • Drive efforts with other Sales groups (mainly Agency Programs, Leisure Sales, and Corporate Sales) to optimize channel performance

  • Manage a variety of ad hoc projects ranging from new-route launch plans to first class pricing strategy

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • ​Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • ​Advanced Degree
  • 3 years experience in departments such as Revenue Management, Sales, or other Commercial teams

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Ability to have strong interpersonal skills including leadership, collaboration, consensus-building, and cultural awareness
  • Ability to demonstrate solid business acumen, and a willingness to dig deep to find the best answer. Successful analysts tap a network of contacts in and outside Sales to help build context around data output
  • Ability to drive results within ambiguous and complex business situations
  • Ability to have attention to detail
  • Ability to demonstrate strong analytical aptitude and experience with data manipulation and analysis
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Data analysis tools – Tableau, SQL, Cognos
  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally
