This job is a member of the International Co-Brand Team within the Customer Loyalty & Insights Division.  It is responsible for management, growth, and profitability of American Airlines portfolio of Co-Brand Credit Card products; marketing execution of global initiatives and incentive programs; and, management and enhancement of American Airlines relationships with bank partners in the assigned countries. This team member will also be focused in product redesigns and marketing channel expansion.

What you'll do
  • Supports and enhances American Airlines relationships with bank partners
  • Develops and executes sales force incentive programs, including leading multi-country programs
  • Conducts financial performance analysis including effectiveness and return on investment (ROI) of credit card marketing campaigns and programs
  • Analyzes historical trends and credit card customer behavior, and develops models to segment and target customers for acquisition and spend campaigns
  • Performs contract negotiations
  • Supports and implements joint (American Airlines and Bank) Co-Brand marketing initiatives including product launches, acquisition and retention campaigns, and creative marketing approvals
  • Evaluates competitive strategies and industry trends to determine impact to Co-Brand Credit Card portfolio in each country and contemplates action plans to protect revenue and profitability
  • Supports portfolio operations including day-to-day contact with bank partners, technical and operational project management, key indicator tracking, and invoice approvals
  • Designs and enhances products (additional benefits, new redemption opportunities, accrual modifications, and new card levels)
  • Supports and streamlines assigned partners’ monthly credit reporting, including acquisition, credit card spend, attrition, revenue, expense and service metrics
  • Develops and presents updates and proposals to Executive Leadership
  • Interacts frequently with international marketing, country sales teams, legal, AA.com, revenue management, IT and customer service
  • Travel up to 30% may be required
All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • ​Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or equivalent training/experience
  • 3 years of experience in similar or related roles, performing analytics and quantitiative analysis


Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • ​Masters Degree
  • Airline budgeting and forecasting experience


Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • ​Ability to work independently, craft strategy and take such strategy towards completion
  • Able to manage large quantities of data in comprehensive way and demonstrate qualitative and quantitative analysis to management required
  • Data analytics, reporting, financial modeling, and forecasting for sales projections, behavioral trending and market analysis required
  • Partner relationships, contract negotiations, marketing approvals, promotion evaluations and funding
  • Manage projects with internal and external stakeholders
  • Self-starter with experience managing and prioritizing various projects
  • Bilingual English–Spanish, fluent proficiency (in writing and orally) required
  • Proficient user of Professional Office Suite (advanced Excel user)
  • Previous experience with digital and app marketing a plus
