About The Job

This job is a member of the Planning - Base and Strategic Team under the Integrated Operations Division. Responsible for effective management of aircraft maintenance requirements introduced in the Technical Operations group as an Engineering Order (EO) with a focus on mandatory Airworthiness Directives (AD). Projects include but are not limited to, Company and FAA mandated maintenance requirements and
recommended reliability enhancements. This job also ensures that mandatory or company imposed deadlines are achieved through proper planning and
execution of project management plans that balances overall aircraft downtime, task yield, manpower, and total life-cycle cost.

Specifically, you’ll do the following:

  • Manages the successful implementation of aircraft maintenance projects through the system
  • Ensures assigned maintenance projects are completed within the defined time frame
  • Verifies that all assigned mandatory company and FAA requirements are effectively resourced to prevent the unnecessary grounding of aircraft due to time constraints
  • Communicates to key stakeholders within the Company, including giving presentations
  • Serves as the lead coordinator of the resources necessary to see their assigned projects through to completion. Resource pools include Materials, Line/Base Maintenance, Engineering, Line/Base Planning and Finance
  • Ensures that all assigned projects presented to the Scheduling group are clearly defined and properly resourced to ensure success in the scheduling function
  • Assists with the management of defined processes and procedures to ensure that efficient lines of communication exist within the Technical Operations’ group
  • Seeks continuous improvement of the processes
  • Contributes to the development of the rolling 1-year maintenance resource requirement plan to be used throughout the organization to effectively communicate and plan for fleet maintenance requirements
  • Performs ad-hoc analysis to validate the effectiveness of the project planning organization and report to senior management
  • Provides regular reports on the progress of projects within the enterprise

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience/training
  • 5 years airline experience with at least 2 years in Aircraft Maintenance Planning or Project Management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, MS Project, etc.
  • Proven ability to influence and manage without authority
  • Ability to manage multiple task efficiently
  • Innovative thinking skills with a high degree of motivation
  • Excellent analytical and problem resolution ability
  • Strong people management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; must be able to build working relationships with a wide range of peers
  • Ability to concisely present work to Senior Management
  • Must pass all background checks
