About The Job

​This job is a member of the Digital Customer Experience Team within the Marketing & Loyalty Division. The successful applicant will join the Ancillary Product Strategy team.  This team is responsible for third-party, non-air ancillaries that are complementary to an air purchase including rental cars, hotels, tours & activities, travel insurance and cruises.  This position will be responsible for product management and increasing revenue through the development of product strategy and initiatives.

 

Specifically, you'll do the following:

  • Owns a portfolio of work around third-party ancillary products and shapes a comprehensive strategic plan and product roadmap
  • Drives product revenue growth and expands existing product features
  • Utilizes relationship management and industry experience to manage and nurture business relationships with third-party providers
  • Serves as business owner and provides product expertise on IT initiatives for ancillary products
  • Collaborates with marketing teams to effectively promote and market ancillary products
  • Provides ongoing management of ancillary products offered through aa.com web/mobile/app
  • Monitors product performance, results and initiatives and reports progress to stakeholders
  • Conducts contract negotiations with providers, including working with Legal and other business groups to develop mutually beneficial agreements
  • Evaluates new opportunities to drive incremental revenue and presents findings and recommendations
  • Works on a variety of projects aimed to optimize product offering and maximize revenue
  • Must be willing to travel for business when needed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/training
  • Experience formulating and communicating business requirements
  • Ability to think strategically and formulate an actionable plan to execute on the strategy
  • Ability to take initiative, be self-driven, make independent decisions and drive initiatives to closure
  • Effective decision-making based on a combination of data-driven analysis and strategic considerations
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple, concurrent projects, with attention to detail and changing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills including leadership, collaboration and consensus-building
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • 2 or more years of experience in web/digital channels/e-commerce
  • Product management and/or product development experience
  • Experience managing third-party relationships and negotiating agreements
