Amgen's Worldwide Compliance & Business Ethics (WC&BE) division is looking for an administrative professional to join our team as an Administrative Coordinator. The role of the Administrative Coordinator (AC) will be focused on supporting the Executive Director of Global Compliance Programs & Operations, the Executive Director for USBO Healthcare Compliance, and their Compliance team members.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Proactively manage multiple calendars
  • Schedule both complex and routine meetings, collaborate and navigate time management challenges successfully with colleagues
  • Book domestic and international travel arrangements utilizing company guidelines
  • Timely preparation and processing of expense reports
  • Organize meeting rooms, logistics, catering, and needed equipment/supplies for events
  • Skillful point of contact and consistent, helpful assistance for Executive Directors, their direct reports, and department members
  • Collaborate and liaise successfully with other ACs and EAs within the organization
  • Arrange for guests and process interview candidates
  • Timely registration for conferences, congresses, and seminars
  • Assist with preparation of presentations, meeting agendas, and capturing action items
  • Assist with special projects
  • Perform other administrative duties as requested
  • Provide reliable backup support to additional departmental admins

    Basic Qualifications:

    Associate degree and 2 years of administrative experience

    OR

    High school diploma/GED and 5 years of administrative experience

    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Amgen experience
  • Proficient with key Amgen technologies and platforms (Workday, Concur, Outlook)
  • Experience working in a large corporation
  • Experience supporting multiple people and their teams
  • Ability to liaise with cross-functional team members and effectively communicate with internal and external business partners
  • Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Helpful, can-do attitude with a solution-oriented approach
  • Meticulous follow through on tasks until completion
  • Flexible, resourceful, polite, and personable 'team player'
  • Works independently employing good judgment, discretion, and critical decision making
