Amgen's Global Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Operations team (Global Procurement Operations, Accounts Payable (AP) Operations, P2P Governance and Vendor Master Operations) is looking for an Accounts Payable Compliance Senior Associate to join the AP Operations Team. The Senior Associatewill report to the Senior Manager, Finance and will work out of Amgen's Capability Center in Tampa, Florida.

T he ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring Amgen's Accounts Payable Compliance requirements are met timely to support Amgen's mission to serve patients by enabling our business partners to be able to buy and pay for required goods and services through effective, efficient and compliant P2P process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review invoices to ensure appropriate federal and state withholding was applied and is appropriately identified as reportable within SAP
  • Managing the P2P end to end processes including Vendor Master, Accounts Payable, Purchasing and Compliance requirements
  • Generate weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for withholding and to provide to outsourced partner to generate required state and federal filings
  • Review 1099 and other tax form generation to ensure it is consistent and aligned with weekly and quarterly reports
  • Review generated reports and request corrections to invoices that were not withheld correctly
  • Support in answering questions from suppliers and business partners related to the applicability of withholding leveraging external advisers to provide guidance as required
  • Provide copies of applicable forms to suppliers, completing corrections if required
  • Validate W-9 and W-8 tax forms for completeness and accuracy and work with suppliers for any required corrections. Once complete work with the Vendor Master team to update the supplier record for appropriate withholding
  • Perform due diligence letter process for Unclaimed Property to ensure Amgen is reissuing un-cashed payments before escheating the applicable states
  • Generate reports and prepare filings for Unclaimed Property utilizing the Unclaimed Property Reporting Tool to escheat to applicable states
  • Support the recoveries outsourced provider in recovering any over-payments or duplicate payments
  • Provide support and training on Accounts Payable compliance to wider Accounts Payable Team


Basic Qualifications:

  • Master's degree


OR
  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of Financeexperience


OR
  • Associate's degree and 6 years ofFinance experience


OR
  • High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Finance experience


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years experience in AP processes and compliance
  • Familiarization with analyzing and preparing data to drive outcomes
  • Strong understanding of excel and analytical skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Prior experience managing competing tasks and priorities
