Job Purpose

Motivate, develop and provide leadership for department staff responsible for processing the Company’s accounts payables.  Plan, organize, and direct department activities to ensure timely and accurate company disbursements to vendors, government authorities, and employees totaling over $540M annually. 


Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Motivate, develop, and provide leadership for department staff
  • Supervise staff and employee relation’s issues
  • Monitor Accounts Payable systems and procedures
  • Oversee the A/P processes for compliance with company policy and legal requirements
  • Plan, organize, and direct department activities to ensure timely and accurate payments
  • Manage account analysis, reconciliation, and preparation of journal entries to the general ledger
  • Communicate with vendors, buyers, field stations, and all cost centers to resolve recurring problems pertaining to vendor claims
  • Prepare journal entries and perform other month-end duties as required
  • Provide support for audits conducted by both internal and external sources
  • Performs additional duties as assigned


Principal Duties and Responsibilities - Unique to Division

Minimum Qualifications

  • University degree focus in accounting, finance or related business field or equivalent experience/training
  • Minimum of two years professional accounting experience, including one or more years of supervisory experience in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English both verbally and written
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Knowledge of the chart of accounts, journal entry processing, and internal control requirements
  • Develop productive working relationships with outside suppliers, internal customers, and co-workers
  • Enthusiastic, high energy, team player
  • Flexible/adaptable to constant change
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments/projects
  • Meet accounting goals and deadlines


Preferred Qualifications

  • Accounting certification such as CPA, ACA, ACCA, AAT
  • Additional Language skills
