Executive Director – Head of Card Acquisition Channel Strategy

 

The Head of Card Acquisition Channel Strategy is a senior leadership position within the Card Acquisition Center of Excellence that will lead our customer acquisition channel strategy for all Card products across both owned and paid channels.  This includes Chase digital channels (chase.com, mobile, email, SEO), “Refer-A-Friend,” 3rd party marketplaces/affiliates, paid search, direct mail and on property.  Additionally, this role will partner with our Co-brand team to optimize acquisition strategies across co-brand partner channels.  This is a highly visible position that will work in a dynamic, fast paced, collaborative environment to develop and drive breakthrough marketing strategies to deliver profitable growth.  This position will report to the Head of Card Acquisitions and lead a team of ~25 marketing professionals.

 
Key responsibilities include:
  • Develop and deliver innovative growth strategies within Chase owned channels (digital and offline) –  e.g. enhanced shopping experiences, personalization strategies, improved navigation, test and learn initiatives, simplified origination customer journeys   

  • Optimize strategies within paid channels (e.g. marketplaces, paid search, paid display) to deliver growth with target segments

  • Lead exploration of new channels to reach new consumer segments and drive incremental growth

  • Set holistic cross-channel strategy to optimize channel mix and ensure effective reach for target segments

  • Partner with Product GM teams to develop and execute product specific marketing strategies across channels

  • Set prioritization of new initiatives and strategy changes across channels to ensure maximum value creation

  • Closely monitor the competitive landscape and leverage insights/best practices to inform channel strategy


Qualifications:
  • 10-15 years of marketing and strategy experience – with focus on credit card and/or consumer lending products

  • Experience leading customer acquisition channel strategy across both digital and offline channels

  • Experience developing innovative growth strategies within digital channels to optimize funnel conversion

  • Experience leading initiatives to optimize acquisition strategies within paid channels

  • Strategic marketer with the ability to set broad vision and drive execution

  • Innovative, problem solver with experience solving complex challenges

  • Excellent analytical acumen and strong understanding of the financial drivers for credit card products

  • Excellent people leader with experience leading and developing large teams

  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with senior level cross-functional teams

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a highly dynamic environment

  • Highly effective communicator (both written and oral) with ability to influence executive audiences

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred
