This role will be accountable for helping to develop, implement and monitor risk strategies for core Business Credit initiatives and broader strategic programs that support the Business Banking and Business Card book of work. The lead will also play a critical role in developing business bureau reporting and consumption strategy. The role works closely with other risk, operations, technology and strategy teams within CCB and collaborates across the firm, as needed, to deliver Business Credit Risk program, lifecycle and multi-year roadmap objectives.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Drive technical, operational and/or functional execution of business credit risk strategies including (but not limited to) scoring, grading initiatives and business bureau contribution strategy.
  • Build technical risk design requirements for business credit initiatives (platform, product, integration and continuity) including required xLOB coordination (BB, Card).
  • Support bureau consortia engagement –governance, terms of data use, contribution practices, long-term strategies.
  • Work cross-functionally with strategic analytics, business strategy, risk execution, controls, technology and other partners to design and implement governance / control points / proper documentation needs for newly developed risk processes.
  • Build programmatic approach/discipline to risk strategies (planning, work groups, risk identification, dependency tracking, issues identification/escalation and change management) to ensure appropriate controls-focus through strategy execution and to create order out of ambiguity.
  • Oversight / coordination of key inputs required from the business for approvals processes (e.g., NBIA) and ongoing support of business management activities
  • Drive content and production of key senior management updates
  • Lead / manage special projects-- as needed basis

Qualifications
  • 8+ years in risk management, data strategy and related experience
  • Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to succeed in a matrix environment where responsibility and results are shared.  
  • Strategic orientation, innovative thinking, and an excellent communicator with strong leadership and solid decision-making. 
  • Strong business awareness, analytical and program orientation
  • Strong executive presence, comfortable interacting with and presenting to all levels of management
  • Experience working with external partners and in execution of new product launches / transformation efforts
 


Qualifications
  • 8+ years in risk management, data strategy and related experience
  • Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to succeed in a matrix environment where responsibility and results are shared.  

  • Strategic orientation, innovative thinking, and an excellent communicator with strong leadership and solid decision-making. 

  • Strong business awareness, analytical and program orientation
  • Strong executive presence, comfortable interacting with and presenting to all levels of management

  • Experience working with external partners and in execution of new product launches / transformation efforts
