The CCB Data & Analytics Team unifies data and analytics talent across Chase to responsibly leverage data to build competitive advantages for our businesses with value and protection for customers.  The team encompasses a variety of Data & Analytics disciplines, from data governance and data strategy/partnerships to reporting, data science and machine learning, and are actively engaged in ensuring impact at the front-line and the customer through Sales and Marketing transformation.  We have a strong partnership with our dedicated Technology partners, who provide us with our cutting edge data and analytics infrastructure. Description  


This position will be part of CCB Data and Marketing Analytics team, reporting directly to the Head of Data Delivery on the Data Infrastructure team.  The Data Infrastructure team is a new team chartered to centrally own CCB data thereby enabling the organization to accelerate the adoption of Big Data platforms; streamline and harden controls; improve data efficiency and effectiveness by increasing data quality; and extract more value from our substantial data assets and infrastructure 


Job Description: 


This individual will own a designated domain of data use cases in the business as part of a function covering Consumer Credit Card data.  


This person will be a key change agent and lead a highly skilled and specialized team responsible for …

  • Providing knowledge leadership to the business for stakeholder advisement, strategic road map planning, Big Data architecture planning and user community communications

  • Leading critical data processes including continuous improvement cycles, change management and exception handling

  • Ensuring data quality by contributing to the firm-wide data model, facilitating more effective Meta Data Repository (MDR) and monitoring data quality

  • Owning key data controls including access, permissible use, control effectiveness and audit transparency

  • Partnering closely with partners in Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Data Management and Finance to jointly solve problems  

  • This role interacts directly with senior executives throughout the business as clients and collaborators as well as with analytics and data teams across the organization.  This person will be responsible for managing, mentoring, and developing a team of talented advanced analytics professionals.

  • This individual should have a blend of deep subject matter expertise as well as the passion and leadership needed to proactively drive improvements.



Other requirements:

  • Exposure to conceptual, logical, and physical data models

  • Understanding of relational database and big data technology (e.g., Hadoop)

  • Understanding of data management concepts such as metadata, data quality, lineage, reference data management, etc is a plus

  • Understanding of key aspects of current architectures regarding Data Integration, Metadata, Data Warehousing, Reporting & BI product suites

General:


  • 10+ years of producing and/or overseeing related advanced analytics work
  • 8+ years people management experience, particularly in the advanced analytics space

  • Demonstrates highly proficient skills in each of the following areas: quantitative, analytics, and technical skills

  • Must have strong executive communication and presentation skills


Educational Requirement:

  • Master's or PhD in a quantitative field preferred: Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computing and Information Theory, Econometrics, Biostatistics, Operations Research, or Industrial / Electrical Engineering, MBA (w/ strong quantitative focus).

Professional Background:

  • Financial service and Credit Card industry experience desired, but we are open to evaluating candidates with strong analytics backgrounds from any industry.
