Frontier Co-op is adding a new leadership role to their team. We are currently seeking a Vice President of Global Procurement to join our management team. As a part of the executive team, reporting to the CEO, you would be responsible for managing all aspects of Global Procurement which includes: sourcing herbs & spices directly from farmers around the globe, leading & developing a dynamic team, and having the opportunity to drive profitability through short & long term execution.


  • Establishes departmental goals and objectives consistent with organization's strategic plan, and ensures progress toward these goals.
  • Oversees procurement functions for company including purchases of raw materials and packaging from around the world
  • Oversight of all purchasing to ensure inventory is managed at level that meets customers' needs, while minimizing overhead and raw material costs to meet established financial benchmarks.
  • Drives key measures of purchasing department performance including out of stocks and inventory positions
  • Develops and execute strategy around developing reliable sources, negotiating contracts, buying high quality products, and arranging proper shipment to maintain stock levels.
  • Responsible for all of Frontier's sustainable sourcing activities, including all Well Earth suppliers.

Successful candidates would have:

      • Proven success in building a sustainable supply chain direct to farmers
      • 6+ years sourcing experience in food ingredients
  • Knowledge of global market conditions and sources of supply/services, procurement laws and regulations.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Proven success establishing, facilitating, leading and managing cross functional teams
  • Prior working knowledge of modern Enterprise Management Planning (ERP), M3 experience preferred
  • Strong analytical / reporting skills required, proficient in Excel
  • Proven track record of leading through change & driving efficiency
  • Must be able to prioritize, manage and drive projects effectively and meet deadlines
  • Candidates must be willing to relocate to Cedar Rapids, Iowa
