Job Summary

To continue the focus on Consumer Bank innovation and market share expansion, we are recruiting for a Vice President of Growth Strategy and Business Planning.

Consumer Bank is leading a shift in how we develop and service our customers and utilizing our scale to be the Bank for All. The Growth Financial Product (GFP) team is responsible for developing strategies and tactics to meet the needs for key growth segments Students & Starters and Lower Mass, and Affluent customers. In this position, you would be responsible for defining business strategy, planning & management, and operationalizing one of our growth segments by working directly across the GFP team and functional partners such as Finance, Analytics, Research and Project Management, and your business owner peers.

Job Summary

You will support efforts for Chase to grow net-new household relationships and balances, deepen relationships through firm-wide products and services, and increase market share of US households. You will focus on 4 key areas: (1) help shape strategic analytics and business intelligence initiatives around key growth opportunities and hypotheses, (2) contribute to business reviews and rhythms to influence disciplined financial and business process management and decision making for a segment, and (3) lead business planning activities and budgeting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage operational and functional execution of department strategies and how they are accomplished
  • Scope and structure business projects and planning, lead across different stakeholders
  • Develop market tracking and trends to uncover opportunities and inform business strategy
  • Builds out materials for business reviews or other management facing communication
  • Work collaboratively with team members across lines of business and within GFP team
  • Support planning process as part of budgeting or business activities (e.g. strategic planning, business reviews, etc.)

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years working experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, strategic finance, business management, or similar roles
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for quantitatively and qualitatively derived insight, but also a willingness to focus on details and process
  • Proven ability to structure and scope complex problems and lead across various stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and influencing skills ability to collaborate and build relationships with colleagues at all levels and achieve goals without direct control over resources
  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to quickly build subject matter expertise
  • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Financial institutions working experience and/or MBA
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and implement change in a fast paced and complex environment
  • Identifies and pursues root-cause analysis of risk/compliance issues client/customer complaints
