As the General Manager you will oversee the overall service and operation of the Data Solutions organization which includes the Employment Verification and Data Cloud business'. DataCloud aims to provide a federated and secure data and machine learning platform across ADP that can drive market share growth by (1) powering intelligent HCM experiences and (2) creating high-margin data products

 

You will direct the identification, analysis, and development of the new consolidated business s and drive the growth of the business You will also be responsible for ensuring the business meets or exceeds targets for operational and financial metrics including profitability, revenue growth, client retention, quality, and associate retention. You will hire, develop and retain talent at all levels of the organization and partner with senior sales leadership to resolve issues and create a productive selling environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees the overall operation of the group. This includes the implementation of new business and all other aspects of service delivery. Acts as the ultimate escalation point for any service-related issues. Ensures that the business meets or exceeds targets for operational and financial metrics including but not limited to profitability, revenue growth, client retention, quality, and associate retention.
  • Drive initiatives around People Analytics and Benchmarking, Data Monetization, Embedded Intelligence and simplified reporting with a focus on technology.
  • Directs the identification, analysis, and development of business cases. Recognizes service, industry, and market trends. Responds with changes to business processes and procedures.
  • Creates a high performance team environment that supports/reinforces associate accountability, development, and retention. Coaches and develops leaders to improve current performance and build bench strength for the future. Serves as a mentor and prepares associates for growth opportunities. Provides periodic performance feedback and conducts annual performance reviews. Responsible (directly and indirectly) for recruitment, selection, hiring, compensation management, and performance management of all associates in the region.
  • Partners with senior sales leaders to grow the business and successfully resolve escalated issues and create a highly productive selling environment.
  • Identifies opportunities for continuous business improvement and ensures they are addressed appropriately. Provides direction and feedback to support organizations regarding business processes, rollouts, and other business requirements. Ensures that the needs of the department are met by the supporting organizations.
  • Develops annual budget recommendations including headcount plan, productivity goals, and other expenses. Makes decisions regarding investments in infrastructure, processes, and people. Approves expenditures within established guidelines and controls expenses.
  • Sets and communicates strategic goals for the group. Develops tactical plans to reach these goals. Engages leadership in the communication of the Service vision. Translates vision into meaningful associate messages and regularly communicates with associates at all levels of the organization.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned including but not limited to participation on business councils, strategic initiatives, acquisitions, alliances, stretch assignments and collaboration opportunities with other business units.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelors Degree Required.
  • 10 years management experience required, including 3-5 years managing a team of exempt-level professionals
  • Prior experience developing and executing strategic plans.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

  • Strong background driving a fast-growing business
  • Strong Technology background preferred
  • MBA or other Advanced Degree Preferred.
  • At least 5 years in operations management strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record in achieving business results.
  • Basic understanding of financial management reporting including P&L/Revenue required.
  • Past P&L responsibility strongly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll operations, small-mid size business consulting, and/or solution center operations strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to develop and test business hypotheses in order to continuously improve the business. Must also be able to make fact-based decisions using available data.
  • Must not only develop talent of direct reports but also ensure that similar actions are taken downstream in the organization.
In addition to general business communications, must be able to deliver effective business updates/presentations, communicate with external clients, and motivate associates at all levels of the organization
