The Department of Engineering in the College of Science and Engineering invites applications for one non-tenure-track, visiting assistant professor faculty position for a person with a background in civil engineering. The expected starting date will be Fall 2020, and the appointment will be for the nine-month academic year 2020-2021. The successful candidate will be expected to assist in the development of the new Bachelor of Science Program in Civil Engineering at TAMU-CC, including curriculum development and refinement and teaching undergraduate engineering courses, as well as setting up an instructional laboratory for the civil engineering program.

 

A completed application will include:
1. A letter of application addressing qualifications listed below including a statement of teaching/research philosophy,
2. A curriculum vitae,
3. Three professional references including name, address, title, telephone number, and email addresses, and
4. Copies of transcripts of graduate coursework.

The deadline for applications is July 27, 2020

Required qualifications include (a) an earned Ph.D. degree in civil engineering or a related field; (b) experience teaching undergraduate courses in civil engineering and related fields.  Preferred qualifications are experience in teaching online courses.
