UX Designer - Cybersecurity

Roseland, NJ 07068

The security team in the CTO office is building leading edge security tools and is looking for a mid-level UX Designer to help design effective interfaces for our tools.

As a society and industry, cyber-security is one of the most significant challenges we face today. At the same time, without quality presentation and visualization tools, it is easy to be overwhelmed by data and security alerts which leads to poor security outcomes. As our UX Designer you will be responsible for creating compelling and innovative design solutions that help our customers interact with and consume cyber-security data. You will collaborate closely with our engineering and product teams to conceptualize, design, and prototype web features that meet customer and compliance requirements.

  • Partner with engineering, product, and development teams across ADP to create intuitive and impactful user experiences for a highly technical product.

  • Translate requirements and deliver wireframes, logical flows, specifications, prototype, or high fidelity visually designs that are practical yet push boundaries.

  • Recommend appropriate presentation and visualization models for complex and high-volume cyber-security data.

  • Conduct usability research with end-users to help refine and improve design concepts.

  • 3 years of experience of user centered design processes and methods

  • 2 years of experience with Sketch and some of the following tools: Adobe Creative Studio, InVision, Balsamiq or equivalent wire-framing software

  • Experience designing for the web and an understanding of the technology behind it (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

  • Experience applying user research to guide design decisions

  • Ability to coordinate and track user stories, use cases, and design deliverables
