The Payload and Ground Systems organization within the Northrop Grumman Space Systems pushes the boundaries of innovation, redefines engineering capabilities, and drives advances in various sciences. The Space Components and Strategic Businesses Unit is seeking a **User Applications Liaison (level 2/3)** to join our Engineering team. This position will be based in San Diego, CA, but position may be located at one of our other site locations in Devens, MA, Beltsville, MD, Oxnard, Goleta, or Commerce, located in California. Hybrid work-from-home / onsite could be an option for the right candidate.

**Overview**

The User Applications Liaison will work with the Business Unit (BU) engineering team to catalog and benchmark existing engineering software and data analysis tools. Based on an understanding of the use and practical application of these various toolsets, this individual will develop and implement improvements to existing tools, as well as new tools where needed, to provide useful data analytics to the business. Through careful development of robust coding architecture, the tools altered and created by this software development professional will clearly and accurately process a wide range of data, the output of which will be the basis for a variety of important design and business decisions. This team member will leverage subject matter expertise and creativity with regards to database interrogation, data integrity checks and verification, permissions and mistake-proofing, user interface environments, etc.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

+ Ability to apply software engineering principles to analyze user requirements
+ Based on insights gained through careful research, ensures that the design, development, testing, debugging and deployment of software meets end-user needs
+ Ability to carefully analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
+ Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives.
+ Must be able to work independently and have strong organizational skills.
+ Skillfully perform complex professional tasks and apply regular use of ingenuity and innovation.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.

**This position may be filled as a User Applications Liaison (Level 2) or as a Principal User Applications Liaison (Level 3) depending upon candidate education, experience and qualifications. (All locations are Geodiff E)**

**Basic Qualifications for a Level 2:**

+ Bachelors Degree from an accredited university and 3+ years of applicable experience OR Masters Degree with 1+ year experience
+ Skilled in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project)
+ Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance
+ Experience with SQL and Access database systems
+ Programming experience creating APIs using Python, Java, C#, and/or VisualStudio
+ Experience with creating and editing batch files, PowerShell scripts, xml files, etc
+ Experience with Siemens Teamcenter PLM workflows; as a user, creator, and troubleshooter
+ Experience with Siemens NX installations; customer defaults configuration, start parts, drafting templates, pax files, etc.

**Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:**

+ Bachelors Degree from an accredited university and 6+ years of applicable experience OR Masters Degree with 4+ year experience
+ Skilled in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project)
+ Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance
+ Experience with SQL and Access database systems
+ Programming experience creating APIs using Python, Java, C#, and/or VisualStudio
+ Experience with creating and editing batch files, PowerShell scripts, xml files, etc
+ Experience with Siemens Teamcenter PLM workflows; as a user, creator, and troubleshooter
+ Experience with Siemens NX installations; customer defaults configuration, start parts, drafting templates, pax files, etc.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Bachelors Degree in a STEM discipline
+ Experience with development of JIRA workflows
+ Experience using and configuring Analysis software applications such as FEMAP and NX NASTRAN
+ Experience with other CAD or PLM systems besides NX and Teamcenter

Salary Range: $77,100.00 - $115,700.00Salary Range 2: $95,000.00 - $142,400.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
