Amgen's 10 - 12 week internship program offers meaningful project experiences that impact patient's lives. This internship provides the opportunity for executive and social networking events and to participate in community volunteer projects while providing a competitive compensation.
The Global Field Medical Capabilities Team is responsible for designing, aligning, and implementing initiatives that enhance the value proposition of the Field Medical organization. Critical for success is aligning global synergies while differentiating appropriate local solutions. We are responsible for driving and communicating quantitative and qualitative analytics of Field Medical performance.
The summer intern will have guidance and mentorship to develop a transformative analytics strategy to enhance and evolve our engagement with these key stakeholders. The intern will get exposure to the current mechanisms of how we engage medical opinion leaders [e.g. Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), medical information, clinical research/publications, congresses/educational events, etc] and the relevant Amgen SOPs that govern these interactions. The intern will work with key internal partners. Experience obtained during this internship includes review and analysis of field documentation, TA specific publications, writing and communication skills to leadership teams, and learning how to apply critical analytic skills to support our business needs within the biopharmaceutical industry.
The specific project will be to review and analyze external engagement documentation in our system of record to identify trends and generate insights. Following this assessment, the intern will work with internal stakeholders to inform the use AI for future analyses. The final output will be a complete TA specific analytics report presented to medical and cross-functional leadership teams.
Basic Qualifications Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an undergraduate internship or an undergraduate co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:
18 years or older
Currently enrolled in a full time Bachelor's Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing
Enrolled in a full time Bachelor's or Combined Bachelor's/Master's degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university
Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
Preferred Qualifications Degree concentration in Sciences
