Telecommunications Engineer

The Telecommunications Engineer will be a critical member of our Technical Services team, responsible for maintenance, configuration, and support of the Avaya communication platform. The Telecommunications Engineer performs a vital and rewarding role in protecting our customers' lives and property, proving to be an integral part of the Rapid Response Monitoring Team.

Responsibilities

  • Primary Administration of Avaya Communication Manager with over 500+ users, Avaya Call Management System (CMS), Avaya Session Manager, and Avaya AES system
  • Responsible for the day to day adds, changes, deletes, and user support for all communication systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all Avaya components and Sonus Session Border Controllers (SBCs)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer and internal voice-related incidents and outages
  • Trains end users on use of advanced phone features
  • Setup of digital and IP phones

Basic Qualifications

  • Associates Degree, or equivalent military experience
  • 3+ years of experience in voice and data communication
  • 1+ years of experience supporting advanced SIP, CTI applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience in a voice and data communications
  • Avaya Solutions Administrator Certificate in Aura Contact Center or Aura Communications Manager
