JobsOhio has also developed a strong complimentary portfolio of talent strategies to strengthen talent in the state by increasing production of graduates in in-demand skills, help train (upskill/reskill) workers, and increase connections between employers and jobseekers.

The Talent Marketing Manager is responsible for creating, implementing, and tracking innovative employer branding and talent awareness/attraction strategies for each client. You will work cross-functionally with our team, partners and vendors to create successful marketing strategies, campaigns, and systems to generate candidates and deliver short-term results while optimizing performance over time to align with the client's requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assess and Build Talent Strategies for Client Companies

  • Serve as teammate to perform assessment of client's current talent attraction/awareness and engagement activities and identify existing gaps
  • In coordination with the talent team, develop an appropriate talent strategy to address the client's challenges and serve as the marketing subject matter expert to advise on and develop the talent marketing strategy and tactics to solve those challenges; contemplating:
    • How best to reach an intended audience through storytelling
    • Utilizing mix of best in class recruitment marketing strategies
    • Leveraging various channels (e.g. social media, organic, paid, traditional media and other mediums)
    • Client's unique value proposition
  • Continually refine strategy and tactics as project evolves through pipeline
  • Assess and select vendors who are capable of meeting the client's needs, attain costing and proposals and negotiate with vendors on behalf of the client
  • Finalize talent plan with client and work directly with the selected vendor and JobsOhio Account Manager to finalize creative brief and talent marketing services

Execute Talent Strategy for Clients

  • Serve as key member of team working with vendor(s) to deliver agreed upon tactics for client, supporting Account Manager as clients' primary point of contact
  • Collaborate with internal team and manage external creative agencies (vendors) to curate all assets and collateral, ensuring client brand guidelines and agreed upon strategy is delivered
  • Ensure local, regional, and global campaigns articulate differentiated client positioning
  • Continuously utilize metrics and KPIs to evaluate, enhance, and maximize the candidate journey; make recommendations for further optimization
  • Maintain and build relationships with current vendors as well as stakeholders and partners to ensure client's needs are met to satisfaction

Stay Current on Marketing and Recruitment Trends

  • Gather, prioritize, and define trends in recruitment marketing, campaigns and initiatives using data and competitive intelligence
  • Stay current on new tools, trends, resources that are up and coming or phasing out
  • Monitor across our client base for similarities and lessons learned to continuously improve client interactions and strategies

*This position will require up to 25% of travel throughout the state of Ohio to visit with clients, vendors, etc.

Experience Requirements

  • 5 years of recruitment/talent marketing or marketing experience
  • Ability to utilize and instill an agile mindset to iterate, learn and evolve
  • Ability to self-start, multi-task and work across teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguous situations and adapt to change quickly
  • Team player who can work effectively across functions and organizational levels to develop solutions
  • Ability to use data to structure and drive decision making
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and quickly translate insights into actionable marketing strategies
  • Experience working cross-functionally and managing external stakeholders and vendors
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Can work autonomously with limited oversight and direction

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, talent/HR, communications or related field
