  • The Supervisor of Aircraft Line Maintenance Production Control oversees aircraft maintenance workload for the timely repair and return to service of American Airlines’ aircraft. Production Control supervisors are subject matter experts in the planning of safe, compliant and timely workload planning. They do this by effectively collaborating with Planning on the workload, resources, and work relationships of both internal customers & support groups and vendors.

  • Provides terminal and/or hangar aircraft maintenance supervision and crew chiefs an effective work plan
  • Ensures crews can be efficiently utilized to accomplish the operation’s workload
  • Responsible for timely and comprehensive communication of the work plan to Production and related Support Departments
  • Meets company objectives in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Maintains effective work relationships with technical operations management
  • Collaborates with Line Maintenance managers & supervisors in support of the planned work load
  • Effectively works with union leadership and workforce

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • High School diploma or GED equivalency
  • 2 years of aircraft maintenance experience

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field or equivalent work experience
  • 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
  • Must pass FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA)
  • Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and PC skills
  • Willing to work rotating shifts, nights and weekends
  • Some travel is required
