Myriad Genetics (Myriad) is looking for a Strategic Accounts Manager (SAM) to partner with internal and external customers to advance prostate cancer care using Myriad testing solutions in the urology and radiation oncology space. As a Myriad SAM, you will solely focus on developing business for the Urology Division by working with internal and external customers to develop and implement prostate cancer testing protocols utilizing Myriad products, including Prolaris, MyRisk, and BRACAnalysis CDx. Internal customers include mainly Account Executives and Area Managers. External customers include hospitals, IDNs, VA, large urology group practices and provider networks.

Primary responsibilities for the SAM include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Collaborate with field sales colleagues on account selection, project planning and execution to drive depth of usage for Myriad products.
  • Once accounts are identified and selected in collaboration with field sales colleagues, the SAM becomes the lead account agent, responsible for identification of account goals and vision for use of Myriad products, development and execution of strategic planning, tactical execution, c-suite management, communication plan, account metrics, workflow development, and medical staff training.
  • Apply a range of strategic planning, account management, project management, workflow development, execution planning, consultative selling skills and clinical expertise to grow business through integration use of Myriad products into customer prostate cancer treatment protocols.
  • Identify customer goals relative to prostate cancer treatment and align Myriad products for use in testing to improve patient outcomes.
  • Assist field sales in clinical selling of Myriad products as a precursor to account vetting, targeting and selection.
  • Act as the lead agent in development of workflows to integrate ordering and reporting of Myriad products specific to account-based prostate cancer treatment protocols.
  • Collaborate with field sales colleagues to train medical staff on the science and ordering of Myriad products as part of account planning and tactical execution of account plans.
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, customer service, operations, managed care and medical to collaborate on plans to integrate Myriad testing into customer-based prostate cancer treatment protocols.
  • Interface with a wide range of cross-disciplinary stakeholders, including critical influencers and c-level executives within larger urology groups, IDNs, Hospital Systems, provider networks, and VA systems as well as other specialty groups that provide services and resources to key stakeholders.
  • Represent sales on cross-functional teams for various strategic initiatives.

  • BS/BA degree and a minimum of 7 years of sales experience in Laboratory Medicine, Medical Device, Radiation Oncology, Diagnostics, or Molecular Genetic Testing
  • Experience in Urology space is mandatory
  • Sales management experience is preferred
  • Lean, six sigma work experience is preferred
  • Experience in development and implementation of clinical treatment protocols
  • Experience in development and implementation of workflows to streamline product usage
  • Strong problem-solving skills with innovative solutions
  • Track record demonstrating initiative and strong follow-thru skills
  • Ability to collaborate on projects with other team members and strong communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills are required
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer
  • Candidate must be willing to travel up to 70% of the time
  • Proficient in English: writing and speaking
  • Strong, recent professional references
  • Working knowledge and application of HIPAA laws, privacy, and ethics surrounding patient privacy and information
  • Demonstrates values and ethics that support Myriad's mission, goals, and professional code of conduct
  • Ability to resist pressure to compromise corporate values despite pressure to make sales
  • Use of discretion and professionalism as it relates to handling patient health and physician information and documentation
  • Track record of demonstrating integrity, even when inconvenient
  • Valid driver's license and driving record that meets safe and satisfactory criteria per Myriad's motor vehicle driving record policy
