Amazon is a fast growing business in need of a Senior Program Manager, Conferences & Events, to help the business scale by building relationships and proactively recruiting top leaders for executive level positions within Amazon Web Services (AWS). Conferences and events provide a unique opportunity for recruiters to connect in-person with industry leaders when and where it€™s most convenient for them. By doing so, recruiters can convey Amazon€™s value proposition and brand as a desirable employer. There is no greater reward in search than seeing your hired candidates have a significant, positive impact on the business.

The Senior Program Manager is fully responsible for owning and executing executive level (Director and Vice President) searches across AWS through conferences and events. This vital role will lead broad, impactful initiatives in support of our overall recruiting strategy, identify new conferences and proactive engagement opportunities, and establish/analyze appropriate metrics to drive recruiting efforts that create an amazing candidate experience. This role will build strong partnerships with external executives, recruiters, senior business leaders, and central program owners to effectively manage recruiting processes across executive-level hiring.
Qualified candidates will be well-versed in all aspects of an executive candidate recruiting as well as being comfortable building processes, challenging assumptions, and thinking of creative ways to tackle challenges. Some of the responsibilities will be:
· Conducting research to map target events and conferences
· Work cross functionally with executive recruiters and researchers to align on conference attendance
· Build out new engagement strategies focused on increasing diversity at the executive level
· Build out new processes within the Conferences & Events space to assist in reaching organizational goals
· Creating unique and robust search strategies as it relates to conferences and recruiting events to identify and attract the best and brightest
· Writing detailed debriefs for each conference and present to senior leaders
Providing strategic guidance and advice in a true partnership with executive leadership


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 5+ years of progressive corporate and/or search firm recruiting experience with a focus on executive level candidate generation in a complex and competitive market
· 2+ years of managing cross-functional, complex programs
· Bachelor€™s degree or equivalent work experience
· Must be willing to travel 1-2 times a month

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Executive recruiting experience in either a blue-chip, global in-house executive search team, or a top executive search firm
· 5+ years of managing large scale, cross-functional, complex programs
· Relentlessly high standards

· Has the innate ability to inspire passion in others
· Ability to convey Amazon€™s value proposition to external talent
· Proven ability to work in a highly ambiguous environment
· Demonstrated ability to handle responsibilities independently, while exercising good judgment
· Able to work efficiently and accurately on time sensitive matters with grace under pressure
· Advanced prioritization and planning skills with strong attention to detail
· Confidence in dealing with senior level staff and ability to communicate in a crisp, concise and professional manner
· Experience designing and building a team website (wiki) and/or SharePoint
