SR Program Manager, Client System PM

THE ROLE:

AMD Client system PM is system program manager of AMD APU/CPU product. Lead client system engineering team to the develop & validate system solution (Silicon, reference Design, BIOS & FW, Doc, etc.) for customer.

THE PERSON:

We are looking for Program manager who has excellent communication skill(both verbal and written). Willing to take challenge and lead worldwide engineering function team for program target. Key performance skills include Risk assessment, decision making, problem solving, teamwork and leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Program leadership of Client product. Provide End to End support over Define/Plan/Bring up/Enablement/Validation/Deployment/Sustaining
• Report program status to management and executive team
• Define the program schedule & resource required
• Scope HW and Sample plan. Monitor spending vs. budget
• Develops and delivers customer communications for AMD solution
• Risk assessment and make priority call of issue, drive system solution quality of Sample/SW/BIOS
• Drive process optimization for the program execution, work together with other teams to make program execution more efficient and with high quality.
• Has good communication skills

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• 10+ year R&D Program management experience in the industry
• Risk assessment & make priority call with engineering team
• Knowledge of X86 Architecture, Operating System, Driver, BIOS and FW fundamentals.
• Experience of crisis case management.
• Exceptional English and Chinese verbal and written skills are must
• Good communication skills/ Teamwork/ management.
• Experience of working with multi-site engineering team

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• BS-EE / BS-CE with 10+ years directly related experience. An advanced degree will be a plus.
