Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is a leading global provider of secure software-defined, hardware-enabled mission systems. Our company is pioneering capabilities in a wide variety of sectors that keep our nation safe from Undersea to Space and Cyberspace NGMS is seeking an Engineering Planning Analyst for the Engineering Business Operations team within the Engineering & Sciences Navigation, Targeting & Survivability organization located in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.

The Engineering Planning Analyst prepares and coordinates the plans and schedules for new and existing Engineering programs, determines, monitors, and reviews costs, operational budgets and schedules, and manpower requirements via the workforce planning tools. Prepares and analyzes business health reports for weekly/monthly status reporting. Formulates and recommends corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirements. Their analytical and problem solving skills will be leveraged to enable data-driven decisions across the multi-site, multi-discipline division by driving daily operations through data analysis and visualization.

Additional Responsibilities Include:
Develop and maintain an organizational status of assigned sub-organization
Perform analysis, planning and forecasting to aid in leadership financial and organizational decision making
Facilitate Monthly Business Operations Reviews with the functional organizations
Partner with adjacent organizations and facilitate the collection and presentation of metrics and develop analytical tools to aid in leadership decision making
Act as the point-of-contact for collecting and consolidating responses to various data calls (conference attendance, cohort, sector / corp reviews, CEC / CPC support, etc.)
Support the strategic staffing lead in workforce planning and ensure cadence is adequate to support accurate forecasting.
Coordinate with training lead to plan and track mandatory training (technical and non-technical) requirements and strategic development needs (aligned with roadmaps)
Support HR in the facilitation of People Development process / reviews
Work with the administrative team to facilitate staff meetings (establish rhythms, coordinate special topics) and document meeting minutes
