JOB DUTIES: Amtrak Cloud eco-system hosts cloud native applications. The DevOps process essentially provides automation and consistency in incremental code deployment on AWS or Azure Cloud platforms. This workstream is critical in managing costs. In addition to collaborative automation between Development and Operations, this job also requires necessary skills to offer Continuous Integration and deployment ( CICD) capabilities to Amtrak cloud eco-system. Hands-on DevOps skills to manage, lead, and mentor the DevOps team and services provided across the enterprise. Candidate will build DevOps delivery pipeline including infrastructure and configuration as code. Migrate legacy technologies to a more current release process towards a CI/CD pipeline. Implement and continuously improve a CI/CD pipeline on AWS or Azure cloud. Automate and manage a large-scale infrastructure. Automate and manage the entire deployment orchestration and implementation across the enterprise. Collaborate with, and assist, the upcoming tools evaluation and research.

REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field followed by seven years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Experience must include: 1) Source Controls Tools (GIT, Bitbucket, Svn, VSTS); 2) Continuous Integration Tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, VSTS); 3) Infrastructure Automation utilizing: Puppet, Chef, and Ansible; 4) Deployment Automation and Orchestration utilizing Jenkins and VSTS; 5) Container Concepts and tool expertise (LXD and Docker); 6) Pipeline orchestration utilizing Kubernetes; 7) Cloud technologies (AWS and Azure); 8) Writing secure code and DeveSevOps concepts; and 9) Implementing automation technologies utilizing Python, Java, Node Js, and PowerShell.
