DESCRIPTION

Amazon is currently looking for a highly motivated, forward-thinking senior manager with experience in the areas of program management, process analysis, process redesign, and analytics to join our Linehaul Network engineering and product development team.

In this role, you will analyze our Linehaul network for inbound, outbound, reverse logistics, transfers and non-inventory freight movement. You will partner broadly with transportation, operations, product team and technical functions to optimize the network, reduce cost and improve sustainability.

This role provides the opportunity for broad exposure to various network planning teams, delivery performance, procurement, financial, and technical teams within Amazon. The successful candidate will be a person who enjoys and excels at diving into data to analyze root causes and implementing long term solutions, all while keeping the big picture in mind. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to create and sustain urgency, and a proven ability to influence and lead large programs across all levels and teams in the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
· Collaborating on the design, development, and delivery of key programs, models, metrics, reports, technical products and analyses to drive key business decisions across customer-facing programs.
· The ideal person will define program strategy and work with senior business leaders on scaling and leveraging transportation solutions.
· Analyze and solve operational barriers with a focus on understanding root causes and driving forward opportunities
· Create mechanisms to drive improved optimization on Linehaul movement as well as create most efficient mapping between different freight movements.
· Lead team of program managers and ensure alignment of key initiatives across all programs.
· Identify appropriate performance metrics for each program and ensure consistent measurement and accountability.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business or related field
· 4+ years of experience with Supply Chain Management concepts i.e. forecasting, planning, optimization and logistics
· 6+ years managing small to medium size (2-8) teams that are driving collaboration with large cross-functional projects involving multiple business teams.
· 6+ years of qualitative/quantitative data analysis related to Supply Chain, Operations, Transportation -Logistics or Inventory Management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· MBA/MS and work experience in dedicated project management highly desired
· Practical application of program management methodology including PMP/Lean Six Sigma/Kaizen
· Advanced knowledge of analytical tools such as SQL, Tableau, MS Excel, or Microsoft Access
· Demonstrated ability working in an ambiguous environment
· Experience handling changing priorities and using good judgment when working in stressful situations
· Demonstrable problem-solving, mathematic, and analytical skills using data to drive decisions in a business environment
· Demonstrated experience and proficiency in effective communication of goals and strategies across multiple leadership levels of an organization
· Proven ability to influence internal/external stakeholders without authority to adopt new processes/initiatives
· Executive level written and oral communication skills
· High attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple competing projects and priorities simultaneously
· Demonstrated success in thinking strategically and executing methodically
· Analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
· Demonstrated experience communicating data insights to others, including use of data visualization tools
· Demonstrated ability to dive deep in understanding the product, our business and the competitive landscape
