Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) has revolutionized reading and the way authors of any level can engage the millions of readers that shop on Amazon. We execute our vision having "every book, ever written, in any language, available in 60 seconds or less" by working directly with authors, publishers, and content providers to provide new incentives, programs, tools, and services to help them easily create, publish, and sell their work worldwide.
We are seeking a driven, influential, experienced professional to work on growth and acquisition programs from a specialized segment of valued authors and content providers. You will play a critical role to support our growth by working directly with authors, agents and acquisition teams to manage and build programs to acquire new content and create the best-in-class customer experience and publishing support for authors.
Books is hiring a Senior Manager, Program Manager to lead the team that supports our Evangelist Top author & Marketing team for Kindle Direct Publishing. This role will help develop, and deliver both industry awareness and demand generation initiatives and programs that drive marketing contribution to pipeline for KDP. This role will have the mission to ensure every author who wants to publish a book is aware of the value proposition of KDP and that all authors who publish within KDP are aware of all the programs and tools that we offer to help them drive their business. The ideal candidate must have in-depth experience building and leading a team that drives marketing and account management programs focused on both customer acquisition and retention, by leveraging customer and marketing insights. The person who fills this role should also have strong analytical skills and strategic thinking, and be experienced in working cross functionality with multiple stakeholders to build and deliver integrated marketing campaigns and programs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 7+ years€™ experience in a high-tech marketing or account management team
· Experience in strategic marketing management and market analysis
· Experience working cross functionally
· Experience leading a team that create and execute strategic marketing programs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· MBA or comparable education/experience
· Outstanding communications skills €“ written and verbal
· Highly organized and detail-oriented
· Excellent project management skills
· Interesting in building teams, programs, process
· Demonstrated ability to build and execute a marketing strategy with clear goals and objectives to align to sales objectives and support the growth targets.
· Metrics/ROI focused and knows how to generate leads and track to closed loop
· Adept at assessing market opportunity to make the appropriate long term strategic investments while maintaining the short-term delivery of leads
· Strong problem solving and analytical skills
