Position Overview

Within WLS™ Product, Innovation & Change Management organization, the Letters of Credit (LC) Governance team is responsible for an LC program focused on cross platform data integrity including Global Trade, Wholesale Lending and Credit Risk systems. As part of this innovative, data driven, transformational team, the LC Governance Associate will partner with numerous teams across Lines of Business, utilizing Lending, Trade and Credit Risk systems and interfaces.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Focused on the complex multi-faceted process of maintaining accurate LC association with credit facilities as they change over time, the LC Governance Associate will contribute to establishing end to end workflow.
  • This includes managing handoffs, transaction data flow, timely remediation of failures, confirmation of proper client billing and exposure feeding setup and partnering in resolution of challenges that arise during the process.
  • Root cause analysis of issues and failures will be central to the role, developing and executing remediation and prevention plans.
  • Partnering with subject matter experts across impacted teams, as well as, technology teams, the LC Governance Associate will participate in identification and implementation of transformation and simplification opportunities which will include operational, technology, and business solutions.

The ideal candidate will be results-focused and process-disciplined with strong analysis skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor™s degree
  • 3+ years of experience with financial systems, preferably including commercial lending platforms and Letters of Credit
  • Previous experience with, and a true passion for, root cause analysisExcellent judgement and independent decision-making ability
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, time management, planning skills and the ability to handle multiple competing priorities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Project management experience in financial services a plus
  • Loan IQ expertise a plus
  • Trade systems including TPS expertise a plus
  • Data analytics expertise a plus
