MSA's Quality Department is looking for a dynamic associate willing to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment. Under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for performing a wide variety of Quality Assurance functions including: assisting the Quality Engineers with problem identification, resolution and implementation of corrective actions, formalizing responses for CQN, IQN, and SQN; ISO and Operating System maintenance; serving as point of contact for most internal and external audits pertaining to Operations; providing product certifications as requested by Customer Service; monitoring FPY data bases and developing dashboards in Power BI.   • Assist Quality Engineers in the research and root cause analysis of CQN, IQN and SQ.
  • Provide intervention and troubleshooting with supplier/supplied components and full support of our Operating System reviews pertaining to Operations.
  • Complete day to day problem solving requirements as they pertain to instrument and or sensor builds; interact with various support groups including IRG; Test Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Participate in and support our safety management process/systems in Cranberry.
  • Support QE with NPD projects including implementation of Safe Launch; MSE, etc.
  • Track KPIs such as OOB, scrap, CQN and rework metrics.
  • Issue certifications based upon SAP and database/test system integration and review of customer specific requirements. Retrieve information from said systems.
  • Provide audit support including scheduling of audits; intervening with auditor and key contacts in Operations.
  • Serve as liaison between auditor and Operations support groups; tour guide and host for audits.
  • Assist QE with external factory acceptance testing as defined by specific customer requirements
  • Conduct daily and monthly audit checkups; schedule and support of internal and external audit requirements.
  • Perform monthly reviews of defined metrics.
  • Use and develop iAuditor data base and systems. Develop and publish dashboards as generated in Power BI.

Education and Experience Required:

This position is available at 3 levels, dependent on experience.

  • Level I entry level - no relevant experience
  • Level II 2 years relevant experience
  • Level III 5 years relevant experience
  • Associates Degree in Engineering Technology; Electronics or other related discipline
  • Continuing education/training expected for Level III position


  • Proficient in SAP and Power BI
  • Knowledge of ISO standards
