Principal Application Developer

ADP, LLC seeks a Principal Application Developer at our Alpharetta, GA location. Responsibilities: Participate in the implementation of scalable, and highly available enterprise Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions supporting ADP Business Units. Contribute to all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, detailed design, Unified Modeling Languages (UMLs), data model design, development, testing, implementation, and Quality Assurance (QA). Design, code, and maintain hosted client/server and web applications focusing on product availability, scalability, reliability, optimum performance, and security. Participate in software requirement analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation. Troubleshoot and debug complex software systems. Provide on-call support for new and existing applications as required. Analyze and resolve development and production issues. Provide support to manager in developing project plan and schedules. Help set department standards and engineering best practices. Propose new techniques and technologies for software development. Provide assistance, perform code reviews, and recommend improvements. Act as a technical contact for development questions, issues, and concerns. Collaborate with ADP technical stakeholders in all area including security, quality assurance, training, project management, engineering, hosting, and procurement.
Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related field plus seven (7) years of related experience.
Work Experience:
Three (3) years of experience must include: Development languages, including C#, Java, and SQL; Web technologies, including JavaScript, Web Services, JSON, and REST; Databases, including MS SQL Server and Oracle; Environments, including Windows, Linux, Apache, and Tomcat; OCR Products including Captiva, Kofax, or Ephesoft; and ECM Products including Documentum or Alfresco.
