About Partner Office

Partner Office looks after PwC UK partners and former partners. Our team of over 60 comprises a group of specialists in the areas of admissions, personal tax and financial planning, finance, coaching and development, annuities, career transition, mobility, benefits, and the legal administration of being a partner. We bring our collective expertise to our partners as well as other internal and external stakeholders.

Due to the nature of our work, our projects often span across our various areas and there are many opportunities to develop in areas outside of your own within the team but also with other parts of the firm (such as Tax, Finance, LoS, Executive Board, Supervisory Board).

About the role

The Partner Annuities team (3 in total), which is part of Partner Office, is looking to recruit an Associate.

 

The successful candidate will need to have excellent attention to detail, be capable of managing their own workload, dealing with month end deadlines, proficient in numerical formulae in Excel and SAP (GFS) and a good communicator, as the role involves written and verbal communication with individual (former) partners and external stakeholders including software service providers.

 

The role is based in the Embankment Place office in London and is 5 days a week. As a team we work within the Everyday Flexibility framework but would expect the successful candidate to be in the office for the majority of the time to learn and develop their skill set.

Ultimately reporting to the Head of Partner Annuities responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of annuity statements and correspondence for retiring partners

  • Preparation of monthly leaver payments

  • Monthly partner annuity payroll support (currently we pay 1,200 annuitants a month)

  • Maintenance of year end payroll summaries

  • Maintenance of electronic filing system

  • Processing ad-hoc system reports

  • Maintenance of database updates and administration

  • Systems training and troubleshooting for partners and wider Partner Office team

  • Completion of monthly control checks and procedures on database

  • Partner Office systems project support.

This is a great opportunity for an individual to take a different cycle of experience, build new networks and learn the intricacies of partner annuities, and the wider partnership lifecycle.

The following skills are required for this role:

  • Finance and/or annuities background

  • Good analytical skills to troubleshoot technical processes and reconcile partner annuities/financial transactions

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills so as to respond clearly and professionally to partners’ queries whether face to face, by phone or by email

  • Excellent IT skills, in particular Excel and SAP

  • Demonstrate integrity: Strong awareness of the need to maintain confidentiality and awareness of risk

  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt quickly to change

  • Strong team player, able to work effectively with diverse clients

  • Be passionate about service excellence – focus on the experience from the partner’s point of view.
