U.S Wealth Management - Field Finance Analytics - Executive Director

The combined business has ~$400 billion in Assets under Management and ~4,000 advisors who work out of 3,500 branches and 21 offices.

 

The Field Finance & Business Management team directly supports the Chase Wealth Management CEO, the Practice Management team and the field organization of ~4,000 advisors.   The Head of Field Finance Analytics will lead a small central team focused on providing insights and analytics on advisor staffing and field management structure, the productivity and profitability of different advisor coverage models, and will partner with key stakeholders to drive decisions for our field investments. 

 

Must be able to regularly interface with the Head of Chase Wealth Management, Head of Practice Management and National Sales and other senior level field managers and peers to answer questions, advise, present and interpret financial and business information. You will use business knowledge and independent decision making to solve business and financial issues.   The role will also interface with the Consumer Branch Banking CFO to ensure alignment in field metrics, scorecards and reporting and leverage a shared reporting center of excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with field leadership to develop field growth strategy for both in-branch and out-of-branch advisor roles
  • Provide strategic analytical and business management support for the Wealth Management field organization, with responsibility for planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and/or evaluating each Division and Region’s performance from every relevant perspective
  • Perform deep analytics on advisor productivity and profitability to inform decisions on scaling business model
  • Partner with field leadership and analytics to drive capacity planning and advisor placement at the local level 
  • Develop and implement Wealth Management field scorecards in partnership with Consumer Branch Banking CFO team
  • Partner with field leadership and HR on development of compensation planning and performance measurement
  • Maintain budget and forecast for field HC and expense; drive expense management in the field
  • Develop next generation of field reporting in dashboards and drive adoption across the field organization
  • Perform ad hoc analysis in support of financial and strategic goals
  • Oversee/prepare business review materials
  • Recruit, develop and manage top talent
 

 

Qualifications:

  • ~10+ years relevant Financial Services experience
  • Bachelor's degree with relevant Master's degree preferred
  • Strong independent thinker and passionate about driving decisions through analytical insights in a sales organization
  • Able to integrate different points of view and influence through facts
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications and ability to tailor message and style to different constituencies (e.g., Field, Finance, Executive Management)
  • Ability to influence and advise executive management
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead a high-performing team of quantitative professionals, preferably over multiple locations
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of financial principles and ability to link results to activities
  • Strong personal management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple (and changing) project deliverables at same time
  • Business savvy and commercial judgment
