Amazon€™s OpstechIT Tier-3 support team proactively drives the stability and sustainability of one of the largest Amazon€™s Fulfillment Center(FC) and leads innovative ways to optimize, automate and scale the Amazon through this exciting time of accelerated growth for the organization and the .

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of technical leadership and success in driving complex issues to resolution, autonomously and/or collaboratively. The successful candidate will demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of networking, networking concepts and .

They will have experience participating in proactive engineering, optimization and operational support for a large-scale service provider or enterprise environment. The successful candidate will be expected to provide high quality top-tier escalation support for complex issues and drive the innovation for simplicity and sustainability of the Amazon€™s Fulfillment Center worldwide.

As a technical leader he/she will manage complex stakeholder relationships with both technical team and management. A passion for working with new technologies and pushing the envelope on existing technology is required. High level of ownership and bias-for-action is required to be successful in this role.

The ideal candidate is highly autonomous; detail oriented and possesses strong written and verbal communication skills. The candidate will have significant experience of supporting large scale, service provider or enterprise class networks.


Responsibilities
· Collaborate with peer teams to collectively understand the customer problems and find technological solutions utilizing wired networking technologies.
· Provide regular constructive feedback based on data to peer teams to influence future designs that meets or exceeds the needs of our customers.
· Identify and own continuous improvement opportunities that reduce operational impact to customers and enable them with scalable, resilient and cost optimized services.
· Dive deep on complex problems that involve networking technologies to resolve customer issues, identify root causes, document and develop corrective actions.
· In collaboration with design teams, evaluate new technologies. Own lab testing, proof of concept, run books, standardization, tools, and pilot deployment.
· Innovate and automate infrastructure testing, deployment, operations and life cycle management
· Be a part of Global support organization that provides 24x7 escalation support on shift rotation basis. Some night and weekend support may be required.
· Follow standard policies and practices established by the team and Amazon. Participate in developing and updating new processes and tools.
· Participate in hiring and developing top talent at Amazon.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


· Bachelor€™s Degree in a technology related field or equivalent experience to a Bachelor's degree based on 3 years€™ professional experience for every 1 year of education.
· 5+ years professional experience designing and supporting large scale networking environment.
· Working knowledge of routing and switching concepts and network fundamentals such as VPN, , , LISP, and STP, .11, , , Linux, and/or related technologies.
· Deep understanding of fundamentals and packet capture analysis.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· 8+ years professional experience working in large scale networking environments.
· Experience in deploying or supporting Cloud Services technologies.
· Broader understanding of network connected infrastructure, end user devices and applications.
· Understanding of technologies.
· CCIE (lab) or equivalent certifications.
· Experience with multi-vendor networks.
