Position Summary

Guggenheim Partners is seeking an exceptional individual to join its Fund Administration team within the Office of the CFO for Funds Management. This person will join a highly collaborative team and be a key financial liaison to the other internal functional areas within the firm (tax, product, legal, compliance and marketing) as well as the external providers (auditors, custodians, printers, administrator and accounting agent and fund counsel). This person will be responsible for review and oversight of the annual and semi-annual shareholder reports, N-Q, N-PORT, N-CEN and 24f-2 filings prepared by the Funds' third party administrator for 1940 Act open-end and closed-end funds. Additional responsibilities include analyzing newly proposed SEC reporting requirements, evaluating fund expenses, responding to audit requests, monitoring dividend requirements, preparing reports for the Funds' Board of Directors and planning and coordination of audit cycles.

The successful candidate will have experience in the financial services industry and be comfortable interacting with all levels of management in a team environment.

The position is located in the firm's Chicago office.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
  • Mutual fund and/or investment industry experience a plus


Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of accounting or financial services industry work experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet stringent deadlines without sacrificing quality
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Strong computer, organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to identify and effectively communicate issues affecting assigned funds
  • Ability to work both individually and within a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
