Merchant Services & Card Issuing Europe Regulatory DevOps Head of Technology

The Payments Technology team at JPMorganChase, is looking for an experienced Director of Information Technology and head Acquiring Platform and Rails Technology (APRT) in Europe with Payments and Risk Management expertise. This individual will be responsible for technology regional oversight for the European Merchant Services and Commercial Card Issuing lines of business. This individual will lead overall strategy and operating model in Europe. Additionally, this individual will be directly accountable to the external Regulatory body and internal business units. This position will be a member of the APRT leadership team reporting to the Global Chief Technology Officer, as well as the regional senior Business and Technology Leads. Candidates should possess Payments Technology experience, technology development and support, as well as senior business, technology, and external delivery and accountability.

Description

  • Experienced leader who manages regional oversight of team comprised of IT managers across multiple job families (Software Quality Assurance, Business Analysis, Application Development, Data Management)
  • Leader of organizational, operational and/or technological change, including strategy roadmap initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and controls
  • Manages advanced budgets, as well as being a leader of organizational, operational and/or technological change
  • Advances strategy by aligning their functional group's efforts to the overall business objectives
  • Provides site leadership and local employee engagement strategies
  • Responsible for coaching and mentoring less experienced team members

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversight and dotted line leadership to technology teams comprised of multiple technology roles/functions
  • Oversight and dotted line leadership to teams with broad organizational impact initiatives (either business or product aligned)
  • May include direct accountability for people management and financial budgeting
  • Cyber and Technology Controls implementation/governance, Major Incident Reporting, Information Security Management, risk assessments and controls certifications
  • Audits and inspections; regulatory engagement and action plans
  • Outsourcing oversight
  • Board, committee risk and control meetings and senior management presentations
  • Market readiness and responses (ex: geopolitical events, payments events factors)
