Salary: $78,000 to $85,000

Job Summary: The Marketing Manager is responsible for the development, management and implementation of marketing programs to support and promote Goodwill's mission, businesses and brand.

Key Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Serve as lead project manager for marketing/communications collateral and programs, advertising initiatives and other marketing projects as assigned. Manage production of print and electronic materials from conception to publication to include: working with internal clients on developing/understanding the target audience; objectives; timeline and budget; writing/editing and/or working with assigned writer on copy; designing and/or working with graphic designer on development of the appropriate look and feel of the piece; marketing lead to redesign and/or maintaining brand guidelines; coordinating approval process with internal clients; delivering final product on time and within budget.
  • Create and implement strategic advertising and marketing plans, including media buys, budgets, managing vendor relationships, tracking results, etc.
  • Serve as lead for all Goodwill social media platforms including creating strategy, posting content, responding to comments, etc.
  • Establish relationships with social media influencers to promote Goodwill retail, mission services and other activities
  • Serve as lead for corporate website initiatives and communications.
  • Expand donor of goods base by developing and implementing marketing plans to specific demographic and geographic markets. Create and execute marketing plans for donation drives, events, etc.
  • Implement marketing/communications programs and activities to support fundraising initiatives including annual appeals, in-store round up, donor events and centennial campaign marketing/communications programs
  • Research, write and edit articles for Goodwill publications/electronic media, such as brochures, program flyers, promotional materials, annual reports, external newsletters and other materials as required. Work in collaboration/cross-edit with other writers and graphic designer.
  • Serve as department lead for special organizational events and advertising initiatives.
  • Serve as lead for brand projects and maintain brand guidelines
  • Ensure integration and consistency of internal and public marketing, themes and promotions.
  • Supervise Marketing Specialist and/or Graphic Designer positions
  • Work with consultants on marketing projects as needed



Education and/or Experience: College degree required. Marketing or Communications degree preferred. Minimum of 7 years experience in marketing and communications field.

Applications: Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Publisher and/or other publishing software, WordPress, Google Analytics, Eventbrite, and Constant Contact. Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite to include: InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop or Lightroom.

Language Skills: Strong written, verbal and presentation skills required.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus. Also needs to be able to drive a car to appointments.

Work Environment: This position is based in an office, with occasional visits to retail stores. We are currently remote due to Covid-19.
